Changing a booking’s status
Follow these steps to change the status of a grooming booking:
From the Grooming Calendar form:
- Open the Grooming Calendar form if it is not already open.
- Click on the required day in the month view window to view bookings on that day.
- Click on the booking in the calendar grid.
- Click the Status drop-down in the ribbon and choose the new status OR right-click and choose Set Status To from the menu.
- If setting the new status to “Cancelled” or “No Show” you will be prompted to enter a reason for the cancellation, either enter a reason and click OK, or click Cancel.
- The booking color will be updated in the Grooming Calendar form to reflect the new status. If the status was changed to “Cancelled” the booking will not show once the calendar has been refreshed, however you will still be able to view the booking in the Customer or Pet flyout.
From the Customer or Pet flyout:
- Locate the customer/pet in the Customer/Pet List or search for the customer/pet. Once found, double click or hit the ENTER key to open the customer or pet flyout. Click the Bookings tab.
- Select the booking required and change the status column drop-down to the new status.
- If setting the new status to “Cancelled” or “No Show” you will be prompted to enter a reason for the cancellation, either enter a reason and click OK, or click Cancel.
- The booking color will be updated in the grid to reflect the new status.
Note: If you are using the Desktop Network or Cloud editions of PetLinx, users with the “General User” security group will only have the ability to cancel bookings if the “Cancel Bookings” permission is ticked in the System Options form, Security tab.
