Adding a new prepaid credit

Follow these steps to add a new prepaid credit:


  1. Open the Prepaid Credits form if it is not already open.
  2. Click the New button in the PetLinx ribbon.
  3. Enter all required information.
    • “Retail Price” is the default price and can be changed when a customer purchases the prepaid credit. “Serial/Part Nbr” allows you to enter in a code for the prepaid credit, which allows quick addition of the prepaid credit to an invoice by typing (or scanning if using a barcode scanner) the code.
    • “Session Type” defines the type of daycare session that the prepaid credit can be used for. If you select (All), then the number of credits deducted for each pet is based on the “Credits Used” amount of the session type selected in the booking, otherwise 1 credit is deducted for each pet.
    • Tick “Number of Credits” or “Period of Time” as appropriate for the prepaid credit you are adding. The Number of Credits option allows a fixed number of credits,
      with any unused credits expiring after the “Expires After” period has elapsed from the purchase date. The Period of Time option allows unlimited bookings until the defined “Time” period has elapsed from the purchase date.
    • If integrating with an external financial system, enter the Sales Account code this service will be linked to in your financial system.
    • If you have defined tax to be used in PetLinx, then tick if the tax should be applied for this prepaid credit.
  4. Click the Save button in the PetLinx ribbon.
